From Yaoundé to Lyon: Taking Local Solutions to the Global Stage

Healthcare solutions built in the heart of a community can still change the conversation on a world stage, and this quarter, ours did.

On World Health Day, our Founder and President, Adelaide Bih, stood before global health experts, policymakers, and researchers at the One Health One Planet Summit in Lyon, France. The topic: antimicrobial resistance, one of today’s most urgent health threats. Adelaide spoke about something the world often overlooks, how displaced and underserved communities face heightened risk due to overcrowding, limited healthcare access, and poor sanitation, and why grassroots health systems deserve real investment.

It was a proud moment, not just for Zinvara, but for every community we serve, proof that solutions born in Yaoundé’s IDP camps and underserved neighborhoods belong in the world’s biggest health conversations.

The recognition didn’t stop there. Adelaide was also selected as a Fellow in the Amahoro Coalition Fellowship Cohort 4 (2026), a prestigious program supporting exceptional refugee and displaced entrepreneurs across Africa as they scale their impact.

From a walk-in clinic in Yaoundé to a summit stage in France, the message stays the same: everyone deserves access to quality healthcare, and community-led solutions can lead the way.
